Kudos

  • Jodi Borchart had an undercover officer roam the halls this past week to see if staff would stop them.  Kudos to Wendy Zeman who stopped him, questioned him, and brought him to the office. And... kudos to Jon Nelson who called up to the office right away once he saw him.  Also, a few months back Jack Schmidt noticed a high school student in the hallways at the start of the school day and informed the main office.  Thank you to everyone for really keeping an eye out for anyone who seems suspicious to you.  All visitors will have a yellow badge on or have a BASD badge so if you do not see either please always walk with them back to the main office.  Thank you!!!
  • Also, thank you to everyone for your quick response for the Lock and Hold this past week.  We had a student get sick in the hallway and did not have enough time to clean it up prior to passing time so we needed to go into a Lock and Hold.  As a reminder, a Lock and Hold are situations like this past week or an ambulance is coming for someone that needs transport, a student is in the hallway that we do not want entering other classrooms, dogs are in the building with the police department... things of that nature.  If there is a threat to staff and students then we will use Hold-Lock-Secure (or the actual threat will be announced).  Thanks again for your quick response this past week!
  • Thank you to Brad Ferstenou, Mike Jones, Donna Sturdevant, Kurt Rummler, Eric Sulik, Suzanne Dunbar, Andrea Hancock, Stephanie Rummler, and Stacy Stoughton for assisting with FNL this past Friday.  Students had a great time!
  • Kudos to Dustan Eckmann and the BASD Band directors for a great Band-O-Rama concert this past Tuesday night!  Always great to see and hear the growth and progress our students have made throughout the year!

Focus this week:
These are some great things to think about as we head into the end of the school year.  Emotions run high among staff and students so reflecting on some of the things below can really shift the focus for the rest of the school year.
