  • Mike Jones was chosen as the KCB STAFF OF THE WEEK!  Congrats Mike and thank you all for continuing to reinforce our 8 character traits.
  • Thank you to Marian Hancock, Kim Moss, Andrea Hancock, Amanda Thate, Steve Berezowitz, and Matt Behringer for participating in the Skyward Scheduling training this past Thursday.  It was a tedious task at times but the collaboration and insight from the group is what provided us with access and abilities within our scheduling system that will assist with being more efficient and effective.  What was adjusted and accomplished in one day was amazing!  Thank you!
  • Congrats to Dustan Eckmann and our orchestra students for a great performance this past Tuesday.  Awesome to see such growth from the fall to now!

Reminders
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • Please note:  a few changes have been made to the Karcher Calendar, the block scheduling days have been removed and a few assembly scheduling days have been added for Character Curriculum needs.
  • Monday, February 6 - please turn in your Character Award certificates by the end of the day tomorrow, Monday!!!  Give them to Stephanie Rummler or to Kim/Jane in the main office.  This is vital so that we have time to laminate them for Thursday!
    • Also... Advisory teachers... please click on THIS link to nominate a member of your advisory that could be a possible contestant for Family Feud during the Character Assemblies.  Needed by the end of the day tomorrow, Monday!
  • Monday, February 6 - extended advisory all week!  Please see Patti Tenhagen's email for details.
    • Students will begin working on their individual slide shows for their student led conferences, starting this week Monday.  Patti has shared the information and students should all be making a copy of the slide show template.
    • Slides 1-7 should be done during class time as those are class specific.  Please make sure you are carving out time in your class periods to complete these slides. The rest of the slides should be done during the extended advisory time.
    • Compass teachers it is ok to use some time during compass time for student led conferences.  Please still have students do a minimum of 25 minutes of compass but we can use time for their student led presentations as we want them to be of high quality.
  • Wednesday, February 8 - 10 - I will be attending the secondary principal's conference, therefore, I will not be in the building.
  • Wednesday, February 8 - iTime, Lanschool, & Character Assemblies PLC in the library
    • 2:40 - 3:00 - iTime planning time
    • 3:00 - 3:10 - Lanschool - the hope is that everyone has their classes inputed into Lanschool prior to coming on Wednesday.  Then Molly Ebbers will go over how to login a class at the start of your class period, how to click on a student's particular screen, how to email a student, how to limit their websites, and then how to switch from one class to the next (along with anything else Molly thinks of :)
    • 3:10 - 3:20 - Final information and the break down for the Character Assemblies presented by Stephanie Rummler and Brad Ferstenou.
  • Thursday, February 9 - Character Assembly in the auditorium for 7th grade
    • We will be using the Morning Assembly Bell Schedule (located on the Karcher Calendar).
